Hit rate is the share of spins that return anything at all, including the ones that return less than you staked. A reel with a twenty-eight per cent hit rate pays something roughly once every three and a half spins, and it feels alive even while the balance drops. A reel at eighteen per cent feels dead for long stretches. Both can carry the same published return — the difference is entirely in how that return is distributed, and distribution is what you actually experience.

Sizing a stake backwards

Decide how long you want the session to last, then work backwards to the stake rather than forwards from it. Two hours at roughly one hundred and eighty spins an hour is three hundred and sixty spins. On a medium-volatility reel, surviving that comfortably wants a balance of about a hundred times the stake — so ৳2,000 supports ৳20 a spin, not ৳50. Choosing the stake first and hoping is how a two-hour plan becomes a twenty-minute one.

Comparing two titles you would otherwise be indifferent between. Between a 96.0% reel and a 97.0% reel with the same volatility band, the higher figure is genuinely better and costs nothing to prefer. What it cannot do is predict a session, promise a recovery, or justify a sentence beginning “it is due”. Each spin is independent of the last, and the machine has no memory of what it owes you.
